Old Trafford Stadium has the second-largest capacity of any English football stadium after Wembley Stadium. It is the eleventh-largest Stadium in Europe.

Old Trafford stadium was bombed by two German bombing raids during the Second World War leading to an eight-year absence from 1941 to 1949.

Manchester United was first established in 1878 as Newton Heath, the work team for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway workers in the local area.

Newton Heath originally wore yellow and green coloured shirts but, after changing their name to Manchester United in 1902, adapted the colours of red, white and black.

An old nickname for the team was The Heath-ens which eventually led to their current nickname, The Red Devils.

Old Trafford Stadium was given the nickname the Theatre of Dreams by their legendary player Bobby Charlton.
