    Liverpool FC are the second most successful team in the history of English football, beaten only by Manchester United, who have won one more Premier League title.

    Liverpool have won five European Cups between 1977 and 2005.

    Anfield Stadium has been home to Liverpool FC since their fierce rivals and original tenants, Everton, left the ground in 1892. Anfield tours are now available, offers include the chance to meet an Anfield legend, family tours are available and lunch deals are available too.

    Liverpool FC's traditional badge was based on the iconic Liver Bird, a symbol of the city of Liverpool since the 14th century.

    About Anfield

    Anfield is notable for its two gates named after former Liverpool managers Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly. The Kop is currently the largest single tier stand in Europe. Above the stairs that lead down to the pitch hangs a sign stating THIS IS ANFIELD. Its purpose is to both intimidate the opposition and to bring Liverpool players who touch it good luck. The dimensions of the Anfield pitch are 101 by 68 metres.
