Overview

Become Bond for the day at the Spy Academy! Get taught the tricks of the trade by those who have built a career around stealth and lethality as you take tutelage from ex-police and Special Forces agents. You'll take control of a telescopically-sighted sniper to pick off your target, before grappling with non-combat skills to hone your close-quarters techniques. As well as the less conventional thrills of axe throwing and crossbows there will also be a chance to handle an agent's weapon of choice, the pistol, learning the slick shooting skills and finding out who is the quickest draw. The only thing left to do now is fill out that MI6 application!

What's included?
  • An introduction from ex-police and Special Forces operatives
  • Zone 1: Unarmed Combat (1 hour)
  • Zone 2: Sniper Shooting (30 minutes) and Pistol Draw (30 minutes)
  • Zone 3: Crossbow Firing (30 minutes) and Axe Throwing (30 minutes)

My son had been desperate to do this experience and it didn't disappoint! We did a wide variety of activities including axe throwing, hand to hand combat and rifle shooting . The instructors gave good clear instructions and were keen and enthusiastic. We loved it so much we are booking in for the full day!

Thoroughly fun spy academy
19 July 2015
Great fun for my 16 year old son , a birthday present from us his parents, since what do you get for 16 year olds that is a little different? He loved it weapons training, handling, self defence, cross bows. Friendly staff well organised and all went smoothly.

Good fun
18 July 2015
This is good fun and varied. Let's face it no one is going to give you an AK47 to shoot away at your pleasure so don't expect a true James Bond experience. It's well managed and our 16 year enjoyed it. He was by far the youngest there and all the adults seemed to be enjoying the experience. Well wroth the money.

Fast-paced, interactive training in a number of weapons, covert techniques and hand-to-hand combat will prepare you for life as a Spook or Soldier of Fortune or survivor of a zombie apocalypse. Fantastic day out.

dangerous nice guys!
03 October 2014
The guys that run spy academy are all experts with actual working experience of everything you do on the day, but they are all lovely guys. We turned up late because of an unexpected traffic incident and were expecting to be turned away, but they let us drop in and catch up with the group no problem. We rotated around 3 stations, an hour at each. In one, we learned to fire weapons, though having fired shotguns and rifles before, I didn't find this quite as exciting as if it was brand new to me, and the exercises we did were very simple. However, if we hadn't done this before it would have been a perfect introduction that would have got me interested in doing a shooting day in future. In the second section, we did an outdoor laser quest, which was great fun and would have been even better if I had done the spy academy with a bigger group of friends, then we did axe throwing, which was a new experience for me so I enjoyed learning that skill. In the final hour, we were given a talk and shown the applications of spy cameras and other surveillance technology, I found this really interesting. Then we moved outside for unarmed combat (essentially a self-defence class) which again was interesting and anyone who has done martial arts would recognise a fair few of the moves. Overall, it was a fun day that can be done with friends who are not particularly sporty or daring as all the activities were pretty easy to do. It would be a great corporate fun day as it would work really well with the banter of a big group. For me personally, I found it somewhat tame, but still enjoyable and something different to do on the weekend.

This experience was a gift which at first was a little wary of. On reflection it was a really enjoyable day, well organised and the facilities were spot on. Have put my pics on Facebook and all my friends have commented. Tnx to all involved.

Nice introduction to the secret world of spies
01 October 2014
This was a good experience. Go with an open mind, and don't expect too much. You do just about enough of everything to get a flavour and appreciate the world of spies, leaving you with the desire to do more. They love spectators and they can also play a part in your day if your lucky, so its very good value for money.
