We cannot rate the experience highly enough. The staff, food, atmosphere was of the highest standard. Although very busy the restaurant staff were most attentive and combined with the unique historical surroundings made it an unforgettable evening.

The overall experience was great. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

I would like to feel that the management would address these
The signage at the entrance is easilly missed in the dark because of the inadequate lighting and the colour of the sign.
The dining room was uncomfortably cold.
The steamed vegetables were not cooked correctly, very hard.

The surroundings, service and food at Thornbury Castle are absolutely outstanding. In it is a shame that the hotel doesn't consider a three course meal gift (£109) includes something as basic as potatoes on your plate and beware - the drinks prices are the highest you will find anywhere. But those things aside it is a lovely experience and well recommended.

Beautiful venue. Excellent service and food. On arrival we were shown to the drawing room and given canapés and menus. Once in the dining room we had excellent service, attentive, knowledgeable and polite. Food was perfect.

Was an brilliant evening meal , Staff very helpful & tentative. Location has some lovely grounds to walk round . A must do treat for you or loved ones .

We had a wonderful meal last night at Thornbury Castle Hotel. Everything was just so nice - comfortable lounge, amazing dining room and excellent, friendly and efficient staff. Would certainly recommend. The meal was just oustanding and we understand the chef has only been in position less than two weeks - congratulations to him and his kitchen staff.
