Are you cool enough to scale one of these incredible indoor ice walls? Kept at a constant -12°, they have been purpose built by hand to create several ice faces, complete with bumps, crevices (and icicles!) to suit a range of abilities - from beginners slopes to steep overhangs, vertical courses and confined canyons. Over one hundred tonnes of snow has been used to create approximately 300m² of solid ice.
On arrival at the venue you will be met with your instructor, who will conduct a full safety briefing and show you different climbing techniques. Then it 's time to get kitted up with all the safety gear before you head to the ice wall. Your climb will be under strict supervision of an instructor at all times and tuition is on a one to one basis. This experience will last for approximately one and a half hours, including briefing time and the issuing of safety equipment. You will spend a minimum of 40 minutes in the ice tower.

This experience is available at 2 Locations:

  • Greater London (London) - Covent Garden
  • Greater Manchester (North) - Manchester

Really good fun (even for climbers) Me and a very good friend are both climbers and have always wanted to try ice climbing so when I received this voucher as a gift i was very excited. It was excellent and the staff at Eliis Brigham (especially Jazz) were very nice and accommodating. I couldn't think of a better way of spending an hour with a friend on a Saturday morning in Manchester. 18 October 2013
We went iceclimbing today and were very nervous but shouldn't have been. Very enjoyable experience well supervised. Felt safe. 16 November 2010
Both myself and my flatmate are keen climbers and have been rock climbing and on our local wall but ice climbing really appealed to us as it was something brand new that we'd never tried before. Having the one to one tuition by the instructors meant we were able to tackle the more challenging routes. At the venue some were beginners and they seemed to have no problems either. This experience day comes highly recommended. 16 November 2010
