This totally unique experience allows to you experience the sheer exhilaration of skydiving, in a specially constructed wind tunnel, the likes of which are usually used to test the aerodynamics of F1 racing cars! After all the necessary training you will step into the airflow and taste the thrill of freefall in a totally safe and controlled environment, and what 's more, its suitable for almost anyone from age 4 so even the kids can have a go.
Upon contact with the supplier you will be issued with a report time; it is important that you arrive no later than the report time given. You will have a briefing and receive all necessary instruction. You will learn and practice freefall and body flying techniques. You will get kitted up in flight suit, specialist headgear, goggles, earplugs, knee and elbow pads, before entering the tunnel with your instructor for the first of two one minute 'skydives'. You will receive a souvenir DVD recording of your experience. All necessary equipment is provided. You should wear casual clothes, ideally a t-shirt without a collar, and lace-up trainers.

This experience is available at 3 Locations:

  • Buckinghamshire (South East) - Milton Keynes
  • Greater Manchester (North) - Manchester
  • Hampshire (South East) - Basingstoke
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This voucher entitles two people to two flights each of one minute. Please note that you will not be able to fly at the same time. You must book a time for your 'skydive'. Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum age 4 years. For under 18 's a parent or guardian must sign a waiver. This experience is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or has ever had a dislocated shoulder. Check with your doctor first if you have a history of neck/back/heart problems. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. Customers must bring their voucher and confirmation email from Airkix on the day of the flight.

The whole process of buying this gift, receiving the gift pack, booking and ‘flying at Airkix was very easy, no problems encountered at all.
The ‘flights’ at Airkix were fantastic the look on my sons face (aged 10) was well worth the money, I let him take both ‘flights’, he was still flying with adrenaline afterwards. The DVD that came with the package was also quite good, it shows everyone’s flight that occurred in your time slot so you have to scroll through to find yours (no a great problem).
At the end of your ‘flight’ you can pay an extra £5 to have the instructor take you through extreme moves, it can’t last much more than a minute but when are you ever going to be able to do such things again?
There is lots of space for people to go along and watch which I thoroughly recommend.

A must try experience, quick pre-flight instruction then into the wind tunnel for some flying. My instructor Herbie helps out with the initial flying giving a gentle tug here and there to keep you steady until you are stable. Then off you go trying horizontal spins, climbing and diving. Great fun, and much easier than falling out of a perfectly good plane. A few minutes soon pass, but hey I've fallen the equivalent of 48,000 feet, but once tried will be coming back for some more fun. Great DVD of me, and with some cool stunts from Herbie... my turn next time!

Very good fun, something different, the instructor was fab. I booked this for my girlfriend and I. She loved it as did I. It would be something I would recommend and have recommended this to my friends. It would also be something we would do again :-)
