Drive a Chieftain tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier and a Quad Bike with this fantastic three and half hour driving experience. In the reassuring company of friendly and experience instructors, some of whom served in the Falklands and Gulf Wars and may have some interesting stories to tell, you will receive full driving tuition. To keep all participants busy throughout the session the ratio of guests to vehicles is set to reflect this.
The Course Includes complimentary refreshments throughout the session, full safety briefing, driving the Chieftain, MBT 55 tons 700hp, driving the Abbot SPG (self-propelled field gun), driving the APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), riding the Quad Bikes. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement. This course runs on Saturdays and some Friday dates. Toilets are available on site, there is also an undercover area with picnic benches and a wood fire that is lit in cold or wet weather. This is where the safety briefing takes place and refreshments are available.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. You must pre-book a date for your experience. This experience only runs on Saturdays. Please dress comfortably and warmly. Sturdy boots are advisable, as are waterproofs during wet weather. Should there be any problems (breakdown, starting late etc) there are spare vehicles available to help keep the session on schedule. Please note that if you have a chest size of over 50 inches it may be difficult for you to get into some of the vehicles. Minimum age for participants is 16 years old. Please do not bring dogs to the site. Spectators are welcome at a fee of £10.00, payable on the day. Children under 10 years are free. The spectator entrance fee includes a Ride on a Tank & complimentary tea and coffee. Due to weather conditions the Season Starts in February and runs till the end of October (although bookings can be made all year round).

Whole thing absolutely brilliant. APC and Abbott fantastic trying to sling them around the corners and through the puddles. Quad Bike a bit scary at first but exhilarating once I got the hang of it. Chieftan amazing. A very enjoyable experience. Staff all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Command central (refreshments area) very good. Could have used the word brilliant many many times. Had a huge grin on my face the whole morning. The best Christmas present I have ever been given.
