Everything you were told never to do as a child by the sea! This is not simply swimming in the sea, climbing on the rocks or cliff jumping. This is a novel mix of exploration, adventure and adrenaline at the level you want it to be: from nervous newbie to extreme exhilaration! Coasteering gives a very different perspective on the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline run by Britain 's leading centre of excellence for this funky sport.
Adventure sessions begin at 9am or 1.30pm and last approximately 3½ hours including travel time. After an introductory briefing you will change into a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and other safety equipment before taking a short minibus ride to the activity venue. You will need to provide trainers, swim-wear, tracksuit bottoms/ long shorts (to wear over your wetsuit!), a towel and warm clothing. During the session you will be led by an experienced Coasteer guide to scramble, climb, swim and jump along the fantastic Pembrokeshire coastline. Other activities available.

This experience is available at Dyfed:

Your voucher is valid for ten months. No experience is necessary. The minimum age is eight years, and participants will be grouped with others of a similar age & ability, unless otherwise requested. The maximum group size is ten participants, unless by prior arrangement. Spectators are welcome to visit although there is restricted viewing of the activities. If the weather conditions are unsuitable and the session is cancelled you will be offered an alternative experience, or the opportunity to rebook for another date.

Coasteering is something I'd never had a go at before but from the description it sounded like fun! I like watersports so it had that element too. It was the most exciting challenging fun thing I've done in ages! Cliff diving and swimming and rock climbing and rock pools and caves and oh its so hard to describe! The Pembrokeshire coast is beautiful though and we must have explored every last inch of it! 16 November 2010
Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Coasteering in Pembrokeshire...would definitely recommend it and plan to go again later this year!! 16 November 2010
We live by the sea and spend most of our free time there so coasteering sounded like a new way to do the familiar. Wasn't what I thought it was going to be there was much more flexibility and activity choice. I abseiled whilst the wife climbed down the rocks. somethign for everyone i think. 16 November 2010
