With tuition given by a qualified RYA senior instructor, climb aboard a 24-foot Pegasus Yacht and marvel at the beauty of your surroundings as you learn new skills or expand on your existing experience. With a focus on on-water experience, you’ll cover vital aspects; from helming to sheet handling and the roles of other crew on board. From the comfort of the Yacht, experience the pleasure and beauty of this quieter part of the Norfolk Broads, a haven for wildlife.
Arrive at the dock at 9:30 (for the morning session) or 1:30 (for the afternoon session), and get busy with a fun route to a basic understanding of sailing which might include boat handling, rigging, rules of the road, equipment, knots and emergency precautions and procedures. You’ll need to bring warm clothing (whatever the season, to be prepared) and waterproofs, gloves, shoes with non-slip and non-marking soles and sun protection. Morning sessions finish at 12:30 and afternoon sessions at 4:30. Courses are held on weekdays and weekends.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. Details of any medical conditions of you or your party must be disclosed upon booking, as they may be relevant to safety on board. Having a medical condition will not automatically make you unable to attend the course. Sessions are “have a go” sessions when those attending will be joining in or you may be the only crew. Sailing season is normally April to October inclusive but may vary depending on the weather.

I've always loved the idea of sailing but never had the chance to give it a go so my husband booked me this Sailing intro half day through your website. It was a brilliant introduction to the art of sailing learnt lots about handling the boat and all the equipment and knots so much crammed into one afternoon! We're hoping to go on a sailing holiday next year so I'm going to keep it up.
