With tuition given by a qualified RYA senior instructor, you can both climb aboard a 24-foot Pegasus Yacht and marvel at the beauty of your surroundings as you learn new skills or perhaps expand on your existing experience. With a focus on on-water experience, you’ll cover vital aspects; from helming to sheet handling and the roles of other crew on board. From the comfort of the Yacht, experience the pleasure and beauty of this quieter part of the Norfolk Broads, a haven for wildlife.
Arrive at the dock at 9:30 (for the morning session) or 1:30 (for the afternoon session), and get busy with a fun route to a basic understanding of sailing which might include boat handling, rigging, rules of the road, equipment, knots and emergency precautions and procedures. You’ll need to bring warm clothing (whatever the season – to be prepared) and waterproofs, gloves, shoes with non-slip and non-marking soles and sun protection. Tea and coffee are provided at break times. Morning sessions finish at 12:30 and afternoon sessions end at 4:30. Courses are held on weekdays and weekends.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months for two people. Details of any medical conditions must be disclosed upon booking, as they may be relevant to safety on board. Having a medical condition will not automatically make you unable to attend the course. Sessions are “have a go” sessions where those attending will be joining in or you may be the only crew. Sailing season is normally April to October inclusive but may vary depending on weather conditions.

Me and my girlfriend decided to try our hand at sailing and found this to be a great way of picking up the basics. Our instructors were brilliant very knowledgeable and professional. It was a lot of fun being out on the water there's so much to sailing though I definitely think we need a fair few more lessons!

My partner and I recently took part in the half day sailing experience through yourselves on the Norfolk Broads. I just wanted to write and tell you how much we both enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot in the short time we were on the boat. Dave was an excellent skipper very knowledgeable about the art of Sailing and the Norfolk Broads. All the arrangements worked perfectly. It has definitely whetted the appetite to try our hand at sailing again. Thanks again.
