Hovercraft Flying with Axeler-8 Review by parent/purchaser! Brilliant birthday present for a 16 year old. Very helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable instructors. The group was small - just 8 people - and this was a real bonus and waiting time between flights was short. The group was mixed young and old. Rudimentary but perfectly adequate facilities for parents/spectators with shelter and tea and coffee to hand. Good loos! Didn't try the lunch place - had our picnic at the site of the Battle of Naseby just a couple of miles away. Would definitely recommend. 14 May 2011
Great Fun Great Fun. I was one of a group of ten blokes and was worried that it would be lots of hanging around and little action. - Not at all ! - We all got loads of goes. - An initial get familiar with handling the hovercraft. - Some non timed runs through obstacles. - A relay race (2 teams of 5). - A timed speed trial. - All were a bit different and made more fun by the cross wind ! Even when you weren't flying it was fun watching the others and LOL time when one of the guys stalled in the pond !. It is easy enough to fly the hovercraft but not so easy to do it well. I found it very satisfying when I got it right and a total laugh when I, and the others, got it wrong. - (Sorry about me hitting the tyres Marc). 19 May 2014
Excellent fun Well organised fun day. The activity centre (next to the gliding club ) has lots of things going on so it's somewhere we'll definitely come back to. 05 May 2013
Hovering-tastic :D What a great day out!! To start the day, the weather was going to be kind, sunny and dry. The venue was well directed so I got there well on time. Our instructor was terrific, the right balance of guidance, humour and direction so all seemed to be at ease with the craft, plus te rest of te team of helpers were really good. We all had 4 runs overall, both round the track and a bit over the water including a points race where you lost points for hitting the markers, a team relay and then an individual time trial all shown the way by a demo run by one of the team. The craft were quite fast but stable and very safe and no one flipped theirs though one tipped a bit! It was quite hard initially to get the steering correct but I think we all improved. All in all I really enjoyed the day 26 April 2013
