Take to the controls of a race-bred hovercraft at a purpose-built course. Your instructor will show you the skills that you need to operate the vehicle. Once you have mastered the basics you will move on to the Hover Track – featuring both land and water sections. You will be able to put your skills to the test in a series of relay and/or pursuit races against other participants or the clock. Take the Final Challenge and see how quickly you can complete a full lap of the track! It's a unique racing day you'll not forget in a hurry.
Upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing. Your instructor will show you the basic skills that you will need to fly the hovercraft. Once you are ready you will move on to the Hover Track. The itinerary varies with location.
At the Kent location you will participate in a series of races against other participants; and after a break for refreshments, each participant will be timed as they go around the track, with the final lap being recorded. At the end of the year, the winner will be contacted to claim their prize of a free day at the hover course.
At the Leicestershire location you will tackle a series of obstacle courses, as well as being split into 2 teams and then racing against the clock one at a time, the fastest participant will receive a prize at the end of the day.
Expect to spend 3-4 hours at either venue for this experience.

This experience is available at 2 Locations:

  • Kent (South East) - Sandwich
  • Leicestershire (Midlands) - Lutterworth
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is for two people. This experience is available on selected Saturdays and Sundays at the Kent location and on selected dates at the Leicestershire location, all year round. Participants must be over 12 years of age at the Kent location and over 14 years at the Leicestershire location (here, the craft reach speeds of up to 40mph). You will share the course with between 10 and 14 people. No previous experience is required.

you get on the hovercraft no rules just a safety briefing and you go as fast or as slow as you like. you get plenty chances and speed trial is great ......reminder to self ....must do it again :-)

When we got in the hovercraft it felt like that scene in the rescuers where they're escaping! lots of fun laughing and racing around especially when Liz almost fell in.

I saw this hovercraft gift experience on buyagift when I was looking for a different present for my best friend. I chose it because it looked like a lot of fun wasn't your usual flying / driving / sailing experience and more importantly I could go with her! We had a great day in our hovercrafts and didn't stop laughing! Brilliant day!
