Spend a day on the beach experiencing this exciting and fast-growing sport. Whether you choose kitesurfing, landboarding or kitebuggying, you will receive expert instruction and will get a taste of what these sports require. Either way, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time and will leave with a passion for these challenging sports and a desire to perfect your skills.
Sessions begin in the morning (start time depends on the tides) and last for approximately six hours. All courses begin by learning basic kite skills, after which the equipment will be explained to you. You will be taught by qualified instructors, and may choose one of the following kite sport disciplines:
Kitebuggying - You will use your kite to pull this three wheeled vehicle across the sand. But be warned - no brakes!
Kitesurfing - Using an inflatable kite your day will be spent body surfing in the water and even trying out standing on the board at the end of the day.
Landboarding - Speed along the beach or field on a mountainboard (like a skateboard but with all terrain tyres), propelled by your kite.

This experience is available at 4 Locations:

  • Dorset (South West) - Portland
  • Dyfed (Wales) - Pembrokeshire
  • Norfolk (South East) - Gorleston-on-Sea
  • Norfolk (South East) - Hunstanton
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. No experience is necessary, but you should be reasonably fit. The minimum age is 13 years, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must notify the centre of their age and chosen activity on booking. This experience is available on selected dates. The maximum group size is four for the kitesurfing and six for the kitebuggying and landboarding. Land courses require long trousers and trainers, and water courses require swimwear and a towel (warm clothing is recommended). Spectators are welcome, but there may be restricted viewing of the activities. If weather conditions are unsuitable and the session is cancelled, you will be offered an alternative experience or the opportunity to rebook on another date.

i picked the kite-buggying and chose to go to Portland, i wasn't disappointed, had a great day out, fully enjoyed my self, the instructor was friendly and very helpful, he was very good, not only in teaching us, but in getting to know the group and understanding where everyone's skill lied, i would say even if it doesn't look sun, still take sun-glass, you'll spend a lot of time looking up at the sun, and as such i would also strongly recommend a strong suncream, not taking any i did have some strong burns on my face.

I picked kitesurfing for my powerkite experience and loved it! I guess it's a watersport a bit like wakeboarding or surfing but just different and so much more fun! The instructors rocked and really helped us to spend as much time on the board and as little time in the water as possible!

I bought your powerkite sports package and chose kitebuggying because it sounded random and fun. Turned out that's exactly what it was. Hillarious steering using a kite and no breaks.
