Get to grips with the world of scuba diving with this fantastic two day course. This PADI Open Water Referral course takes you through all the confined water (pool) sessions teaching you safety and buoyancy skills as well as theory sessions. This will prepare you to go on and complete your Open Water Dives at a later date, maybe while on holiday. Full SCUBA equipment, air, instruction, training manual and DVD are included – you just need a swimming costume and towel!
This two day course will include the following:
Day 1 Upon arrival at the pool you will be introduced to your instructor and after a safety briefing you can jump straight in and show the instructor you can swim and tread water before moving on to some skin diving/snorkelling skills. You will then be shown the SCUBA Diving equipment you will use during the course and with your instructor by your side you will be ready to take your first breath underwater. Starting at the shallow end of the pool you will be shown basic skills and as your confidence grows you will progress to the deeper end for further skills practice. At the end of the session your instructor will give you a debrief and explain what to expect on Day 2.
Day 2 On the second day in the pool you will complete the remaining skills required for your Open Water Confined sessions and there may even be time at the end of your session for some underwater games! Then it’s back to the classroom to complete any remaining theory including showing you how to plan dives using the Recreational Dive Planner.
Once completed your instructor will provide you with all the appropriate paperwork for a PADI Open Water Referral which you can take to any PADI Dive Centre anywhere in the world to complete your final qualifying Open Water Dives! Please note part of your course will be self-study and you will be given a manual and DVD to review in the comfort of your own home. These are included in the course price and are yours to keep and refer to as you progress with your diving.
