Suitable for complete beginners to experienced sailors, this action packed day out on the beautiful Solent makes an excellent gift. Everyone on-board has the opportunity to get really involved in sailing the yacht from steering to raising the sails and working on the foredeck. Throughout the experience a professional skipper and crew are on hand to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day. With a choice of vessels, this gift offers the recipient the option to sail on Whitbread 60 Blueprint midweek or Clipper 60 Taeping at weekends. 
The crew meet at 10am in the marina for a cup of tea or coffee and safety brief about the boat. Then head up Southampton Water into the open area of the Solent. This trip runs from 10am to 4pm on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint and selected Saturdays and Sundays aboard Clipper 60, Taeping, from April to September. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride or take part in the sailing which will involve taking the helm, hoisting and trimming sails. Lunch is provided onboard, before returning to Ocean Village for about 3.30pm. Please note, trips begin running again from April 1st 2013.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is suitable for people over the age of 12. Anyone aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a full paying parent or guardian. To avoid disappointment please ensure you give at least four weeks notice to secure summer dates as this is a seasonal experience. The skipper reserves the right to curtail the experience on safety grounds if the weather becomes severe. In the event that weather prevents the experience from taking place your date will be rescheduled. This experience is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness. Please note, trips begin running again from April 1st 2013.

My mum is going on a 30 day cruise around the indian ocean with my dad in July and is nervous. So for her birthday I bought her a round the world yacht thrill in the hopes that she would enjoy herself and start to like being on the water! She said the crew were incredibly friendly and kept offering her cups of tea the other participants were nice as well and she was able to just sit back and get used to the waves so thanks buyagift.

Wonderful absolutely amazing. I was given this as a birthday present and it couldn't have been a better gift. I have always wanted to try sailing and this experience gave me that chance. It is a different world out there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was just so stimulating. The crew were very professional helpful and informative. I recommend this to anyone who has an interest in sailing or is unsure of it. It's just fantastic.
