A tandem skydive is the safest and quickest way to experience the exhilaration of free-fall. After a short pre-flight briefing, you will be securely attached to the front of an experienced instructor who wears a parachute built for two! You will normally be flown up to between 9.000 and 12,000 feet at which point you will exit the aircraft and enter up to 40 seconds of freefall, reaching speeds as high as 120mph. The instructor is in full control and will take you through a variety of skydive manoeuvres before opening a large square parachute at around 5,000ft. What's more, you'll even receive an exciting wind tunnel simulator experience.
Following a short pre-jump briefing you will be provided with a skydivers jump suit to go over your clothes (you should wear comfortable clothing such as a track suit and trainers). Then after fitting a tandem parachute harness (and appropriate headgear and goggles) the jump plane will take 20-25 minutes to reach the required altitude - then it's out in to the blue! What's more, you'll even receive an exciting wind tunnel simulator experience.

This experience is available at Cambridgeshire:

  • Cambridgeshire (South East) - Stoney March

Last September I finally got the courage to organise my jump. It was a present from my wife and I wasnt sure at first how to take it My jump took place from Dunkeswell airfield in the South West countryside. The guys there were great especially Jason who for the duration of the dive anyway had my life in his hand. What a great day it was and what a crazy thing to do. 16 November 2010
