Take on the 25 mile challenge of a lifetime and trek the Yorkshire Three Peaks with an experienced team of guides
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is one of the UK's most highly-regarded walking achievements. This 25 mile hike is not for the faint hearted - although rightly called a challenge, it is definitely do-able with an experienced guide! Tackle over 5,249ft of ascent and descent over 12 hours with a qualified mountain leader by your side to help you every step of the way. A support car will be provided to drive you between the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, so you can relax and enjoy the Yorkshire countryside.
This incredible challenge will see you completing a 25 mile circuit of three peaks (Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) within 12 hours, starting and finishing at the same point. These peaks form part of Pennines and stand at the head of the Ribble valley in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so you can also be sure (weather permitting) of some stunning scenery.
There will be a number of leaders involved, so if you are slower than others in the group you will not be holding them up - or be in any danger of being left behind - and although the aim is to complete the trek within 12 hours you will be able to take it at your own pace! There will also be a support car at your disposal to support you (or your team) throughout the day. as well as checkpoints at both road crossings supplying hot/cold drinks, snacks and water refills along with full first aid support.
The challenge is completed the opposite way to most groups to as it makes for a less crowded, more enjoyable experience. And the famous bog comes at the end of the day rather than the beginning (so you won't start with soggy boots). You will receive a certificate of completion - perfect for showing off!
