About Audi R8 driving
Audi market the R8 as the "slowest car we've ever built." Which, at first glance, is a strange claim to make. Just looking at the Audi R8 you can tell it's itching to get out onto the track and burn some serious rubber. So, slow? Surely some mistake?
It's only when you realise the labour of love that each Audi R8 is does the meaning become clear. Each car is hand assembled by a team of engineers to make sure that each of the 5000 components fits together properly. Only 25 Audi R8s roll off the production line each day.
Which is a shame as not only is the Audi R8 named after one of the most successful Le Mans winning race cars of all time but it also shares a heritage with the Lamborghini Gallardo. Oh, and most importantly the R8 is blisteringly fast and handles like a dream. The V8 engine will have you screaming around the track (literally and metaphorically) and the four wheel drive will have you staying firmly on the road rather than sliding into those bothersome sidings.
When you're driving an Audi R8 you'll appreciate that this is one of the 21st Century's first true supercars. Combining sheer, unadulterated power with high technology trimmings (even an optional Bang & Olufsen stereo!) you'll find that the Audi R8 is a drivers car that offers comfort while it thrills.
Slow, it most certainly is not.
About the Audi R8
-
The Audi R8 shares 15% of it's construction with the Lamborghini Gallardo.
-
When each Audi R8 is finishing construction, 95 lasers check 220 measurements on the car to within 1/10th of a mm. It's a well known fact that using lasers on *anything* makes it more exciting.
-
The Audi R8 uses magneto rheological dampers in its suspension. We don't really know what they are, what they do or how they work and we're pretty sure they featured in at least one Back to the Future movie. All we know is that they make for a heck of a smooth ride.
-
Playboy magazine, the famous automotive authority, called the Audi R8 the Car of the Year 2008. The R8 was also named the 2008 World Performance Car of the Year by the slightly more prestigious World Car of the Year awards.

You turn in, feel the grip, add power, the rear starts to slide, you apply some opposite lock, balance the throttle and then . . . and then . . . you start to realise you are driving one of the all-time greats.

A few laps to get familiar with the course and then, WHAM! You'll be driving the Audi R8 yourself and enjoying the thrill and sensation of all that power in your control.
|
Why drive one supercar when you can drive TWO supercars! These two beautiful cars will thrill you, but which one will you prefer? Form the definitive opinion and win all those arguments in the pub with this Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo combo experience.
|
Driving a supercar like the Audi R8 is a whole heap of experience. Combining it with a rally driving session in a Mitsubishi Evolution V and more laps in other supercars? Surely that many intense driving thrills aren't legal... surely?

Customer Reviews of Audi R8 Driving Experiences
I've never had so much fun driving a car in my life. Always been a fan but the Audi R8 is a truly exceptional car.

I drive an Audi during the week so I wanted to see what the fuss about the R8 was. Let me tell you
this: the hype is entirely justified! Tearing the course in this beast of a car was
incredibly fun. Makes my TT seem a bit tame in comparison

The experience was amazing, my brother and I both attended and had a great day, the instructor was great and an excellent teacher, very encouraging and definitely. A fab experience, would certainly do it again.
