A great family day out. Although the rides may not be as adrenaline packed as other theme parks Chessington does have the advantage of also having a zoo and a SEA LIFE Centre which means that there is always plenty to see and do even if your not a thrill seeker.

I took my 7 year old daughter to Chessington and she seemed to really enjoy herself. The park itself is very suited to families with younger children as the rides in general are not as big or as fast as some of the other UK theme parks. Another great advantage of Chessington is the fact that it has a zoo which means that even if you dont wnet to spend all day on the rides there is still something to keep you occupied.

Chessington World of Adventures is a great family theme park which is well laid out with the different themes. In general we found the queues for the rides to be relatively short which is especially helpful with younger children who normally get bored of queuing quite quickly. There were plenty of rides and shows which were suitable for our grandchildren, which is great as some of the other theme parks we have been to in the past have been more about the big, fast rides and so are not so well suited to younger children or the less adventurous thrill seekers.

Chessington is situated 12 miles from London on the A243, just 2 miles from the A3 and M25 (junction 9 or 10). Car parking is free.
- From the South, take M25 junction 9
- From the North, take M25 junction 10
- From London, take the A3 to Hook - Chessington is sign posted on the A24
