- Champneys Tring is set amongst the Chiltern Hills of Hertfordshire, the mansion itself was first recorded in the Court Rolls of 1514, and was owned by successive landowners until finally in 1925 it was opened as a health spa by naturopath Stanley Lief, who pioneered the concept of holistic well-being.
- Recently, Champneys Tring underwent a massive £14million refurbishment programme, including the introduction of a state-of-the-art gym and cardio fitness centre.

Im just completely in love with Champneys, id live there if I could. Everything about the place is just pure comfort and luxury, I have been several times and and it keeps getting better. The staff are superb, and what sets it out from other health club type places like it is that the food there is absolutely superb too.

We absolutely loved our two night stay at Champneys Tring health resort - it was a real treat to stay somewhere so lovely, the setting is just wonderful, perfect gardens. The treatments we had were wonderful, so luxurious, I felt thoroughly pampered throughout the two days. We were very impressed with all the meals we had, nice to know that was all sorted so we didn't have to worry about it.

A lot of spas are in very modern complexes and while I don't have problem with that, what I love about Champneys in Tring is that it is in Rothschilds mansion, a gorgeous old building with so much character. Saw the four day stay on Buyagift and snapped it up. The treatments on offer are brill, I especially recommend the Champneys Massage!
