- How’s this for a royal recommendation? In 2008 Champneys owner Dorothy Purdew was awarded the OBE for services to the Health Spa Industry and Charity. Our spies inform us that the Queen was seen purchasing a Champneys Luxury Spa Day from Buyagift not too long before this. Coincidence? We think not.

A bit of history for you - the Champneys name originated from Ralph de Champneys who owned the magnificent Tring mansion in 1307. Naturopath Stanley Lieff later opened it as the UK’s first ever health farm in 1925, pioneering the concept of holistic health and naturopathy. It was a grateful patient who enabled him to purchase the elegant stately home, called Champneys.

Just a quick note to let you know how fabulous we thought your Champneys Luxury day was, we went to Tring health spa resort and it was wonderful. The staff and beauty therapists couldn't have been more attentive. All of the beauty treatments were excellent, I was very impressed and my manicured nails are still looking good. A lovely lunch was included, and we got to keep our luxuriously soft robe and slippers, which was a nice souvenir of the day.

I felt pretty overloaded with my second pregnancy and with rushing around after my two year old I wasn't feeling so great! Then my wonderful partner presented me with a gift box containing a buyagift voucher for this Champneys pregnancy spa day! Totally refreshed me and made the world feel less stressful, the beauty treatments were incredible and Henlow Grange health spa really deserves it's reputation as a great spa.

Had a fab time with my sister on your Champneys Spa Day. We went to Henlow Grange health spa. The spa facilities were brilliant, and included a beautiful swimming pool, sauna and steam room (we went in twice!).We tried a couple of exercise classes, and felt quite proud of ourselves after that. Was great to have lunch provided too. The beauty treatments were blissfully relaxing, especially the facial we had. Definitely shall be doing this more often!
