About Manchester United Football Club

Facts about Manchester United and Old Trafford
- The home of Manchester United FC, Old Trafford was famously dubbed the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ by one of clubs greatest footballers, Sir Bobby Charlton. The stadium was built in 1910 for the princely sum of £90,000, (nowadays that's less than one week’s wages for Mr Ronaldo).
- Ever innovative, Old Trafford stadium was the first football ground in the country to install private boxes, in 1965. Old Trafford was also the first ground with a roof covering all spectators, and the first football stadium to have an all-seater capacity of over 70,000 people. If you think that's impressive, the current capacity stands at a whopping 76,212!
- The facilities at Old Trafford stadium aren't just used for football matches. The football stadium has played host to an incredible array of sporting events and entertainments including: Super League Final, World Title Bout Boxing, rock concerts and even an episode of Songs of Praise!

Customer Reviews of our Manchester United gift experiences
My daughter is mad for Man Utd so for her birthday I treated her to a ticket for the child tour of Old Trafford football stadium. She was really thrilled with it, and spent the whole day in awe of it all. Really good value, would definitely recommend it.

I can't believe I got to walk through the players entrance at Old Trafford, and sit in the changing room! Can't recommend this tour enough, stood in the dugout and saw the amazing views from the top of the stadium. My friend came with me and we had such a great time, well worth the price.

Our whole family are big United fans, but we live Essex so rarely get the chance to see Old Trafford. We thought the family tour of old trafford would be a great way to spend a weekend in Manchester and get a chance to look at the Theatre of Dreams close up! The family ticket for the stadium tour on Buyagift is great value, and the staff at Old Trafford were absolutely lovely.
