Ferrari driving experience

Awesome driving experience! To think I have driven a Ferrari on a race track is mind blowing. I was slightly concerned beforehand that we would not be able to drive the cars near the limit but my instructor allowed me to give the car a hard time but still within the capabilities of my driving skill. I had such a good time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Ferrari driving experience, just a pity it ended so quickly but then time goes fast when you are having fun!

The lambo thrill experience was amazing, I loved every minute of it but wish that it had lasted longer. It was the best present that I have ever recieved.

Single Seater Driving Thrill at Rockingham

I recently attended the Single Seat Driving Thrill at Rockingham Motor Speedway and what a brilliant experience it was. The whole event was extremely well organised from the minute I arrived. The staff at Rockingham are very pleasant and very helpful.

The event started with a briefing to cover safety aspects and to give an overview of what was going to happen. This was very well covered and there was an opportunity to ask questions. Soon after, we were out on the circuit following the pace car at speeds faster than I expected. On each circuit of the track the speed increased until we were lapping at around 120mph.

Rockingham is a banked circuit so coming down off of the banking to take the corners and then back up to the top of the banking increased the enjoyment of the track. At these speeds, things happen so quickly and seeing the concrete wall looming at the top of the banking certainly kept the senses keen. A NASCAR was also on the track at the same time which also added to the fun; having to keep an eye out for him whizzing up the inside at around 150mph!

Photographs are taken by the resident photographer and can be purchased if you want them after the event. There was certainly no pressure to have them though. What was really good about this is that any guests with you can go with you into the pits and be part of what is going on. So if you are a guest, take your camera! This has been one of the best experiences I have had.

Lamborghini driving experience

Last Christmas my son and daughter-in-law presented me with a flat wrapped present, different to the usual spongy package containing a golf shirt or some other ill fitting item of clothing. To my surprise, they had bought me a Lamborghini driving experience. It seemed like an extravagant present although they assured me it was outstanding value for money.

On the 1st of August my son took me to the race track in Chobham Surrey and as the bridge took us over the straight I watched an Audi R8 hurtling below us with an engine sound that is only emitted from a super car. I suddenly experienced a pang of nerves. Of course I have crept over the speed limit before, although only on motorways. Not around an adrenaline fuelled, macho haven, former test track, forged into the Surrey countryside with the soul purpose of allowing us aspiring race drivers, the one moment of euphoric driving glory.

I am in my 79th year now and although I am grateful for any gift bought for me, this present ranked among the best. Climbing into the Lamborghini, all mine (for 3 laps anyway) I got an inkling of life in the fast lane. As I squeezed the accelerator, the overwhelming feeling of power coursed through the car and my veins. In reality I may have been cruising round the track but it felt for one moment that I could have stepped into the shoes of the Stig and posted the best Lambo lap of the day.

I thank your team for providing me with an exhilarating and most enjoyable day. At my age it's more about experiences now, rather than material gifts. I am going back again with my son to see who is the daddy of the Chobham race track.
