The Finns also hold the record for the world’s largest karaoke, as Eurovision rockers Lordi led over 80,000 people in a singalong version of their winning song ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’! I think it’s safe to say that the Finnish people like a sing-song!

The most popular songs for girls auditioning for X Factor are Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’, Eva Cassidy’s ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and ‘How Do I Live Without You’ by LeAnn Rimes. The world record for the largest dance by couples is held by Israel, when 552 couples took to the floor in Tel Aviv in May 2008. This was no Strictly Come Dancing though, as rather than a waltz or foxtrot, dancers had to master the steps of Israeli folk dances. What's more, the strict judges made Arlene Phillips and Craig Revel Horwood look like pussycats – one foot out of place and the record attempt would be over!
