You and a friend can enjoy cream tea at Down House, the former home of Charles Darwin, and the residence in which he wrote the Origin of Species. See Darwin’s study as it was, complete with original furniture and take a stroll in the gardens that inspired one of the greatest minds of all time. You will receive an English Heritage voucher, a simple form to fill in and send by freepost to English Heritage. Your 31 day pass is not activated until you first visit an English Heritage location, and you are free to choose when you first do this. English Heritage will send you:

Your voucher is valid until 31st March 2015. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult. To receive your one month pass, please fill out and return the activation form to the English Heritage Membership Department. Please allow 21 days for return of membership pack. You can start using the voucher at your convenience. On your first visit, English Heritage staff will activate your admission pass by entering the date. You can then use your pass at any English Heritage site for the next 31 days. The cream tea is for two people only and is only available at Down House. Not all English Heritage locations have table service. The pass can be used by two adults for any of over 400 English Heritage properties. You will also receive a 20% discount voucher to redeem at any English Heritage shop. There is no need to pre-book your cream tea.
