Lovely Day Out This day out was a gift from our daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a lovely day on the railway and the sun was shining which always helps. We had our cream tea at the Dalesgarth end and would highly recommend it. You get a sandwich of your choice from a wide-range of fillings and a lovely big (warm!) scone with jam and clotted cream. If you don't drink tea or coffee you can also choose any cold drink, which was good. We had it for lunch rather than afternoon tea, and it was more than enough. Chose a nice day to go and you won't regret it. 23 June 2014
Wonderful experience From the moment we arrived at Ravenglass the staff in the ticket office were so friendly and helpful, taking time to explain everything. The trip itself brought back memories from youth. At the end of the line when we claimed our Cream-tea, again the staff in the cafe were very friendly, a table was reserved for us with a name tag. It is obvious that customer relations are a the forefront. When you consider that the line is run by volunteers it is amazing. 16 June 2014
Amazing day The railway was run very professionally and staffed by friendly people. The Cream tea we had will rate as the best we have ever had and a reserved table was already laid out in wait for us. If you are in this area, this is a must for a day out 14 June 2014
