It was fantastic night and the staff really pulled out all the stops. Good food, and lots of laughs. I really would recommend it.
What would you improve for next time? The lady on the main desk was slightly rude and unhelpful but that was soon forgotten when we got inside.

Night of Extravagance

We recieved this as a wedding present and I have to say it was fantastic. The staff we friendly and really got you involved (if you wanted to) and the whole place had an air of excitement. The food was pretty good considering they were catering for about 500 people. We had a lovely night, the only thing would be that there is not much room on the tables as they squeeze you in a bit, but that is ok as everyone gets chatting, oh and that it went too quick. I would definetly go again, I think my new father in law is dropping enough hints so looks like I will be taking them! Enjoy yourself.
What would you improve for next time? Open early for a drink or two.

Good atmosphere in the cellars of Ivory House. Amazed at how many people were present but we were well looked after by our "wench". Food was hot and tasty and there was plenty of ale, wine and fruit juice for those who wanted it. Great atmosphere and entertainment.
What would you improve for next time? It was difficult to get in and out of the tables if you were on the "wrong" side

Location: Southampton Age: 45-54 Bought For Daughter Occasion: Anniversary
Very enjoyable evening out - 'wenches' very friendly, and kept the ale and wine flowing. The entertainment was first rate. Food good quality and tasty, but not really enough to share between a table of strangers - would probably be ok if in a larger group. the 'wenches' will bring more if you ask for it. I would certainly go again.
What would you improve for next time? possibly greater amount of food

We were welcomed by staff in the reception area and we checked in within seconds as soon as we went down stairs we were greeted by "lords & ladies" and was shown where the restrooms were and to our table. You will sit opposite each other at the table and if unfortunate enough to be sitting against the wall and you need a wee you either have to limbo under the table like some of our table did OR ask everyone to get out :) Food was really nice being 4 courses... Soup, Pate with salad ham & cheese then chicken and vegetables and for after we had an apple pie /tart with cold custard. Soup you eat without a spoon... remember its from med-evil times and you have bread then you drink form the bowl. Spoons are provided for dessert. The show was excellent with some really good acts especially the juggler who juggles upside down :-S and on top of this the staff all sing and are all very good. Your encouraged to shout "wench" when you need a fill up of drinks "During your meal" and encouraged to bang your fists on the table rather than clapping which was all very good & loud. We both fully enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Remember drinks you have to purchase from the bar before & after your dinner so make sure you get all the alcohol or apple juice you want during :)
What would you improve for next time? Nothing it was fab!

This event was given to us as a Christmas present, and we finally booked up in October. It was a brilliant evening, very loud and raucous, loved the entertainment. If you're looking for a quiet dinner for two then this is not the place for you, very good for group outings. Free red wine and white wine and ale are provided, but one carafe / jug of each per table (refilled when empty) so you are asking your neighbours to pass things up and down the table - but that's all in spirit of medieval times! All in all a very enjoyable night - so long as you don't mind being sociable!
What would you improve for next time? two carafe's of each wine / two jugs so you are not constantly passing things up and down the table (depending on numbers), possibly do this on the same ratios as the food is divided out (ie two pots of soup = two of each drink), tables felt a little cramped when fully occupied, hard to get in and out, possibly one less couple per table would work better.
