Oxford Sunset Picnic Cruise For Two

Your delightful picnic cruise departs from Folly Bridge at 6pm (5pm in September). You'll travel through the city past famous landmarks including Christchurch College, the University boathouses and regatta course, the Head of the River and Folly Bridge itself. From the river you'll take in a side of Oxford's heritage rarely seen by visitors to the city: Quaint Osney Island, well-loved allotments, gardens and the ancient Port Meadow - all of which are off the tourist trail but represent some of Oxford's most beautiful and intriguing scenery. Port Meadow, a vast area of common land, has remained little changed since prehistoric times and supports plants and bird-life in abundance.

At the top of Port Meadow is Godstow. Godstow was the ultimate destination of Alice Liddell and Lewis Carroll when they followed an identical route to our trip while composing 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. It is also the site of Trout Island, an inspiration for another of Oxford's literary icons, C S Lewis, and his stories of the land of Narnia.

Your cruise will last approximately two and a half hours. The gourmet picnic you'll be treated to will be locally sourced from the finest of Oxfordshire suppliers, and due to it's seasonality, will vary with the time of year. You will receive a bottle of wine to enjoy with your picnic. Vegetarians and other dietary restrictions will can be catered to - please mention them when booking.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months for two people. The cruise departs promptly at 6pm (5pm in September), and runs from 1st May until 15th September. There are no maximum height or weight restrictions. If inclement weather on the day you have booked prevents the cruise from taking place, all measures will be taken to try and re-book you for another date of your choice. All dates are subject to availability.
