When we arrived at Ickworth House Hotel, we were greeted by friendly and approachable staff who were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We took the afternoon tea in the Conservatory which I was told was around 150 years old and looked out on to the gardens. The food consisted of mini sandwiches and cakes, tea and coffee, not the best afternoon tea i've had but the atmosphere, staff and surroundings was superb. We were even given a mini tour of the historical parts of the hotel by the Restaurant Manager.

ickworth less than you'd expect

take a tin of paint and carpet cleaner for the interior.
do not expect leaf tea and refills or extra sandwiches than the few morsels offered.
8 extra finger sandwiches which were not cafe level were £9

I would not recommend the afternoon tea at Ickworth. I brought it for my daughter and I to go and enjoy a afternoon tea in a relaxing atmosphere.We were given a pot of tea, and our sandwiches and scones were brought to us 1/2 hr later. We were not offered any more tea to go with this.We received no service at all and came away very disappointed and felt it was a complete waist of an afternoon.
