The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace is open daily. Entrance is by timed ticket and strictly subject to availability. Your voucher includes entrance to the current exhibition, Victoria & Albert: Art & Love. The exhibition is the first to focus on Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's enthusiasm for art. Bringing together over 400 items from the Royal Collection, it celebrates the royal couple’s mutual delight in collecting and displaying works of art, from the time of their engagement in 1839 to the Prince’s untimely death in 1861.
After your visit take a short stroll to The Grosvenor Hotel – an elegant hotel offering a traditional atmosphere in a building dating back to the Victorian era. Champagne afternoon tea includes a selection of petit fours, rich butter scones, fruit preserves and clotted cream, home-made finger sandwiches, a glass of sparkling champagne plus your choice from a selection of loose teas and coffees. All menus are subject to change without prior notice.

Although the Queens Gallery was very good the day was let down by the service received at the Grosvenor Hotel. We booked a table for 17:00hrs and arrived at 16:50,greeted by staff but reataurant was full, they found us a table with 1 chair and had to find another from other diners. When we were served the afternoon tea we were given no preserves with the scones we had to call them over to give us some (not what I expect from a top class London Hotel). The pot of tea was then served, wasn't asked if we required sugar, they just walked off, so I had to get some myself from another table where quests had left and table hadn't been cleared. In my opinion there were insufficient staff to cope with the volume of customers or to clear the tables as quests were finished and left the reataurant.

This was bought as a Xmas present for me and my mum to enjoy. The queens gallery was very interesting, we learnt a lot about paintings. The staff were very friendly and informative.
Then we went to the hotel for our champagne afternoon tea, it was delicious, lovely sandwiches, scones and pastries. We weren't rushed, so was able to enjoy it at our leisure.

Christmas gift my parents loved

We bought this as a gift for my parents for Christmas last year and they visited last week. They had a fantastic day out. They loved every minute of it. They spent nearly two hours in the Queen's Gallery as they said it was so interesting with so much to see. The tea at the hotel was, apparently, the best they have had (and believe me, my parents are experts on having 'High Tea' in hotels). Everything was beautifully presented and they had a three tier cake stand each packed with goodies and a lovely glass of champagne. Best of all, only half a minute of walking out of the hotel and on to the train home! This gift is such good value and it has given a lot of pleasure. Highly recommended.
