With the acclaimed chef, Rosemary Schrager as your teacher, immerse yourself in culinary excellence during this two day course with full room and board in the impossibly elegant surroundings of historic Swinton Park in the Yorkshire Dales. With a mixture of demonstration and hands on cooking, you will learn skills you never thought possible from soufflé to gravadlax, using fresh produce from the estate wherever possible. You can even bring along a guest, but unfortunately for them, they'll have to feed themselves.
The courses start at 4pm either on the Sunday or Tuesday afternoon and end after lunch on the following Tuesday or Thursday. The courses are themed on various styles of cooking, for example French, Dinner Parties and Modern British. You will concentrate on the classical preparation of food and mastering of techniques such as boning and filleting, baking and patisserie. The courses combine demos and practical work and also include lunch and dinner, served at the school and breakfast in the hotel.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is suitable for beginners but is designed with the more adventurous cook in mind. The course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 but bear in mind that much of the experience is spent on your feet. There will be a maximum of fourteen people in each group. The course runs from Sunday to Tuesday or Tuesday to Thursday throughout the year and each date has a different, but equally interesting theme. You are advised to book your voucher as early as possible as availability on some courses may be limited. Accommodation for the participant and one guest is included. Please note that the guest will be responsible for the cost of their meals during the stay.

Very enjoyable cookery class with a high standard of accommodation and board included at Swinton Park. Rosemary was great and extremely knowledgeable I learnt many techniques that had previously seemed beyond my capabilities.
