Feeding big cats by hand is normally a suicidal pursuit but this time you can get as close as you dare in the knowledge that there is a sturdy enclosure separating you from the jaws of these beautiful but ferocious beasts. Under the instruction of an experienced keeper you will be able to feel that cat 's whiskers and smell their breath in this once in a lifetime experience which is suitable for anyone over the age of 16.
On arrival at the park you are welcome to spend as much time as you like admiring the many collections of exotic animals and birds. You will need to make your way to the big cat enclosure 30 minutes before the start of the experience for a briefing by the keeper and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Then it 's your big chance to feed these amazing animals through the bars of the enclosure. After the experience you will be presented with a certificate as a memento.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is suitable for anyone over 16 years old. The feeding time is at 1.30pm or 3.00pm but you are welcome to spend the whole day in the park as this package also includes admission. Spectators are welcome and can purchase standard admission (£14.00) at the gate. Please check that you are up to date on your tetanus inoculations (this can be verified by your GP). Please note this is a one to one experience, groups are not allowed.

Feeding the big cats was a truly remarkable experience. I couldn't believe just how close I got to them! It was a truly once in a lifetime experience for an animal lover like me. The zookeeper was really informative and answered all our questions. Really couldn't have asked for more.

The experience was wonderful I had expected to be nervous but was not. Martin the keeper looking after me was very good he was very knowledgeable and clearly loved his tigers. One of the things I liked about the experience the most was the fact that it was very informal. I expected to be sat down in a classroom for the HS briefing but this was carried out informally and no less importantly. You do handle raw meat obviously so be aware that you will be holding this as this may not appeal to everyone. We were able to take loads of great photos at close range and it was fantastic being so close but safe to these magnificent animals. Certainly an A experience.We had only allowed a part day visit as we had an hour a half journey each way and as we have two dogs we could not be there all day. Initially this did not bother us as I was there for the Big Cats Feeding experience but the park is lovely and we wished we had much longer there There are plenty of exhibits to see and all of the pens are very nicely done. Some of the exhibits are very imaginative and original. It is a super place to take children especially as they are very well catered for. We did squeeze in a game of crazy golf and the course was very imaginative and enjoyable.Initial impressions of the park were that it was a bit run down and things needed a touch of paint entry was a little odd as you pay the entrance fee in the car park and then walk across a road to walk straight into the park. Our first port of call was for something to eat. We chose hot food which was the usual selection on offer but it was very reasonably priced. We did have a bit of trouble finding our way round but this was because we had parked in one of the alternative car parks and the map provided was laid out for navigation from another car park so Im sure if you used that car park it would have been easier.
