Jump right in with this fantastic half-day fly-fishing experience for two. Your expert guide will take you on a motor boat into the heart of the beautiful Rutland Water – Europe’s largest fishing lake, covering 3,500 acres. Your guide will take you out and give you the best chance to catch a trout. He may cast for you if you wish, but you're sure to get a taste for this exciting activity once you take the reigns. At the end of your experience you will be able to take home two of your catches, should you get a bite!
This fun and fascinating experience for two is perfect for any fishing enthusiasts! Your guide will take you straight out into Rutland Water on a motor boat, where he'll ensure you have the best chance of catching a fish. Depending on how successful you are, you’ll be able to take up to two fish home with you, which will be prepared and packed for you – and even if you don’t manage to catch anything, you’ll still receive certificates to show your friends! You will also receive light refreshments throughout your experience.
Covering 3,500 acres and boasting around 26 miles of shoreline, Rutland Water is Europe’s largest fishing lake – and is home to a large number of world-class trout. Leicestershire (Midlands) - Oakham
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for two people. This experience is available on two days per month from April to November. Participants must be 12 yrs or over – under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. This experience will last approximately 4 hours. Fishing will go ahead in most weather although boats cannot go out in high winds (over 23mph) and in that instance the supplier will arrange a rebooking. Spectators are welcome. You are advised to dress according to the weather, i.e. waterproofs, jacket, hat, sunglasses and sun block in summer. A life jacket is provided. All dates are subject to availability.
