Get up close to these fantastic creatures as you enjoy an afternoon walk across the south west coast of England. You will take in the breathtaking views as you lead your friendly llama through the beautiful countryside. Half-way through the trek you will stop for a break en-route to enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea, with scones, jam and clotted cream.
The walk begins at 3pm. You will be introduced to the llama that you will trek with and shown how to handle and lead the llama. The trek lasts for approximately 2 ½ hours including a stop en-route for a traditional Devonshire Cream Tea, with delicious scones from the local bakery, choice of jams and Devon clotted cream. Walks normally involve some uphill walking; however flatter routes can be arranged upon request. All walks are at llama pace (not particularly fast).

This experience is available at Devon:

  • Devon (South West) - Sidmouth
Your voucher is valid for ten months for one person. Treks run in the afternoon on selected dates throughout the year. You will not ride the llamas. The minimum age for participants is 6 years. All walks are accompanied by a fully trained first-aider and guide. You are advised to book well in advance for busy summer months.

This was certainly an interesting way to spend an afternoon! I now wouldn't mind a pet llama! Not quite sure where I'd put it though... I might have to settle for another of these llama trekking walks across the countryside - it certainly was more fun than one of those afternoon teas in a stuffy hotel taking tea with llamas! Not that they got any of our scones or clotted cream I kept them to myself! Yum!

This was a great addition to our Devon holiday I actually booked the llama trekking for four of us (including two usually walking-averse children). The kids loved the llamas which kept them occupied we enjoyed our cream tea very much and the scenery on the walk was beautiful.

We had a wonderful afternoon last September. The weather was perfectly warm and sunny. We had a beautiful 2 hour walk in the beautiful south Devon countryside with the Llamas that were so full of character. They were a joy to walk with. At the end of our walk we were treated there were just 4 of us to a Devon Cream Tea with the Llamas looking over the fence longingly at our scones. All in all it was a true delight and joy and a better gift could not have been given to us.
