Fantastic day This workshop was excellent. Dave, our tutor, made us feel very welcome and couldn't help us enough. We had great fun learnng about everything from materials needed, colour mixing and techniques. This would be a great day out for anyone who is interested in watercolours or just wants a nice, relaxing and fun day with friends, with the added bonus of a painting to take home! 01 February 2013
Super workshop A friendly, informative and relaxed workshop. Lots of information and hints about paint mixing, brushes, paints, paper quality, how to make a start at painting - and lots of time to "have a go". There was much to take in, but David's paint-along in stages was very useful. He demonstrated on his painting, then we had a go on our own. The fact that he had ready to paint sketches for those who were not confident enough to do their own was great! We came away with our own painting at the end of the day and I really felt as though I had achieved something. It has certainly spurred me on to do more. The only reason I didn't give it "excellent" was that there wasn't enough time to go through sketching skills - but that would be a whole workshop in itself. David is also willing to answer any questions after the workshop if you give him a ring. Thanks also to Sylvia, who provided a lovely light lunch while our initial washes were drying. I would definitely recommend it to others who want to have a go at watercolours in a friendly, no fuss atmosphere. 05 April 2013
