Great Day on the River
Excellent day, good food, wonderful Captain and lovely passengers - we were a little apprehensive but it was one of the best afternoons out in a long time.

Pleasant picnic, charming cruise
The experience was a gift from my fiance, who accompanied me on the trip. Our knowledgeable and capable captain, Peter, kept us thoroughly entertained with amusing and interesting running commentary throughout the course of our journey. We saw some stunning scenery and amazing animals/ wildlife along the way, including horses, cows, ducks, swans, geese, moorhens and other birds. As we sailed, we leisurely tucked into our picnic lunch - I had asked for a vegetarian option which was a little 'thrown together' with an interesting mix of ingredients but it was adequate nonetheless, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the meat option which included smoked salmon. The carafe of wine was a nice touch. We shared the experience with five other couples who were all of pensionable age, but they seemed to welcome and accept us younger ones! There was a short stop-off at a pub on the return journey, which was well-received and enjoyable. We felt extremely calm and relaxed throughout and would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to others.

Memories on the Oxford Thames
A Christmas gift to retired parents who grew up in Oxford City.
What a gift!!!
So many memories from 60+ years ago brought to life by our charming Skipper. The opportunity to see behind the scenes of the changed city, be reminded of our famous history, to revisit Port Meadow from the river rather than over the fields and indulge in nostalgia.
Our happy dozen strangers on-board were soon chatting like old friends over a most acceptable picnic lunch, whilst watching and listening to city and countryside glide by.
We would both recommend this lunch-time cruise, especially to Oxonians but also to tourists from UK and beyond.
