Went with some trepidation but once there the adrenalin pumped and resulted in an eperience never to be forgotten. The K & W S Railway co-ordinator Howard made the day with his enthusiastic welcome and all day attendance to ensure that all participants were well looked after and given volumes of information. The engine driver Howard was firm but oh what a good teacher, he transformed me from an absolute novice with shaking hands to a calm, collected and able 'driver' in the course of the day. Fireman Jim stoutly maintained steam all day and was an important part of knowledge gained. To all of them greatful thanks and hope to see you again on the advanced course.
