Discover unrivalled power and exhilaration with an extreme 4x4 driving experience at Silverstone. Sat behind the wheel of the monstrous Landrover Defender, you’ll enjoy the ultimate test of driving skill as you take on Silverstone’s purpose-built off-road course – featuring a challenging combination of hills, drops, ditches and deep water. An amazing adrenaline rush requiring patience and nerve, you’ll even be able to take two guests along for the ride!
Upon arrival you will meet your fully qualified instructor, who will give you a safety briefing. You will then have the chance to enjoy the ultimate driving thrill as you take the wheel of the mighty Landrover Defender, experiencing 20 minutes of pure excitement as you take on Silverstone's challenging purpose-built off-road course. after your experience you will receive a 10 minute debrief - your experience is expected to last around 50 minutes.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 years. Maximum age for driving is 70. Min height is 5'2" and max height is 6'7". The maximum weight is 18st. You must have held a driving license for 1 year. Up to two guests can ride in the back of the vehicle at no extra charge.

It's amazing what the car can do & the angles you can push it too!

On arrival at the centre, I felt slightly jealous of all the other people that were off to do their supercar thrill rides, or even the blast around the track in the Caterham, knowing full well my maximum speed would be about 5mph. As we approached the course, the instructor showed me the controls of my orange beast and what it could do. Sitting in the passenger seat for the first 20 minutes, I felt relaxed and quite looking forward to having a go. When it came to my turn, the first challenge was to drive along a very steep ridge at a very awkward angle, my other half told me afterwards that i made some very strange squeaking noises as we went along the ridge. It may not be the fastest experience day out there, but Its unlike any other car I have ever driven before and would thoroughly reccomend it over hooning around a racetrack in the latest Porsche etc. This one is all about the skill of the driver, not the electronic gizmo's fitted to the car. My final tip would be dont wear white trainers (like me) as chances are they will get muddy!

The whole experience was wonderful.
From arrival we were treated fabulously. The staff were helpful and the organisation was excellent.
The course was tremendous and the instructor was very patient but very entertaining.
Would certainly go again and recommend the experience to anyone not just petrol heads.

From start to finish the 4x4 day is very well planned out! Very little waiting around and then a full hour of off road fun, with steep hill climbs, giant channels of water and sideways tilts which feel like you're going to topple over! At one point we had water rushing in thru the footwells and the next we were storming up the biggest hill I've ever seen but when you book an offroading day that's what you want! The instruction couldn't be better but they still let you take full control. It's not exactly full pace with max speed probably 10mph but if you're looking for speed pick a track day. The best aspect was being allowed to bring guests in the Land Rover as well who can share the day with you!
