In controlled conditions away from the public road with an ADI instructor to teach them the rudiments of driving, young people from 12 to 16 years old can get take the wheel for their first driving lesson. Even youngsters can discover the thrill of a driving experience! This experience is all about helping young drivers to learn more, to experience more and to have more fun, making the most of that crucial first drive.
One of the senior ARDS or ADI qualified instructors begins with a briefing which covers all the safety requirements and the format for the experience before getting into the car (groups of 3 students per vehicle). Then it's onto the driving. They will spend approximately 45 minutes driving. The de-brief follows & a certificate of completion is awarded. This experience will last approx 2.5 hours. Please note that at the Lincolnshire location a Mini Cooper is used and at the Essex location a Dual controlled 1 series BMW is used - at all other locations a performance hatchback is used.

This experience is available at 4 Locations:

  • Essex (South East) - North Weald
  • Lancashire (North) - Three Sisters Race Circuit
  • Lincolnshire (Midlands) - Louth
  • Northamptonshire (Midlands) - Rockingham
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. The following requirements must be met for this experience: minimum age is 12 years, long sleeve shirts and long trousers must be worn, light closed toe shoes (trainers/deck shoes are most suitable), height maximum 6’3” and a minimum of 4'10". Type of vehicle used at the Lincolnshire location will be a MINI One, or a similar small car in the event of the MINI not being available (Ford Fiesta or Fiesta Zetec). At the Essex location a Dual controlled 1 series BMW is used - at all other locations a performance hatchback is used. All dates are subject to availability.

Purchased this for my son's 13th Birthday and he absolutely loved it. The instructors were calm and professional and above all fun. My son came away 'buzzing' from the experience and I have no doubt we will be back. When asked the best bit of the experience he said the steering and when asked the hardest , he said ' finding the biting point of the clutch'.
Well worth the money and would recommend.

I participated in the first driving experience at the Three Sisters Race Circuit. It was bought by my dad for Christmas I was ecstatic when I got it. I was just thinking about my first drive and it was all I could think about. Finally the drive came and I had a great time learning all the basics and the instructor was very nice calm and willing to listen to any questions I had to ask. The car was fabulous it was clean fast no dents or scratches on it. It was all amazing. The little tests that we did were very exiting. They were very varied and contained all sorts of different techniques that we had to master. The track was great fun to drive round and it had no faults. Overall the day was fabulous. Thank you for having me for the day. I really enjoyed it and thank you for reading my letter. P.S I am hoping to come back for my birthday on the Ferrari first time drive.

The experience was very good and I really enjoyed myself. It gives you a great idea of what it is like to drive. The instructors are excellent there are wide open spaces for you to drive in and really great security. I recommend this for anyone who wants to know what it is like to drive before they are legally allowed to.

I got this for my 16th birthday and had a great time. I know it will be really helpful to me when I learn to drive properly. The instructor was very kind as were the rest of the staff. I had a lot of fun.
