Drive a high-powered Lotus Elise and experience its refined handling and thrilling speed in the ideal environment - out on the track! Choose between Lancashire or Derbyshire to learn the advanced techniques that will help you command this legend of British manufacturing. A fully qualified instructor will accompany as you develop your skills and make the most of the Lotus Elise - a car with a truly stunning motorsport heritage.
The experience begins with a 20 minute briefing followed by instructor driven familiarisation laps in a Mini Cooper 'S'. Then comes the Lotus as you put it through its paces for a 12 mile session. The experience is rounded off by a debriefing session.

This experience is available at 2 Locations:

  • Derbyshire (North) - Donington
  • Lancashire (North) - Three Sisters Race Circuit
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. You must pre-book a date for your experience. At Donington this experience is available Monday - Friday only. Minimum height is 5'0", maximum height is 6'3". Maximum weight is 18 stone. Long sleeve shirts and long trousers must be worn. Safety equipment will be provided as appropriate (crash helmets, gloves and waterproofs). It is mandatory to wear this equipment. You must have held your full driving licence for one year. The person driving the car will be required to sign a disclaimer accepting liability in the event of damage being caused to the car through their negligence. At most locations, you will have the choice of buying a collision damage waiver for an additional charge of approximately £25 per car. Drivers are under no obligation to purchase this optional waiver. Please ask the operator when booking for further details if required. All dates are subject to availability.

Waste of time and money!

I booked the lotus track experience for my brother as a gift. When I paid for the experience in late 2009, it was for 12 laps in the car, may have been more I cannot remember the exact amount. He couldn't go last summer because Donnington was being re-furbed. He got an extension on it so he could go to Donnington this year. We travelled down from Barnsley and arrived an hour early to avoid any problems. Some other people were not so organised and so got shunted on to our time slot as they had arrived late. I was shocked and appalled when my brother only got 2 laps in an old clapped out Elise that had gaffer tape holding the rear wheel arch on. As well as this old banger being held together with tape, the drivers seat would not go all the way forward and so my brother had trouble driving the car at all and could not reach the clutch pedal. When he pointed this out to the "instructor" the "instructor" said that " he didn't need the clutch anyway and just to crash the gearbox without the clutch". I'm appalled at the slack attitude and shabby equipment after spending over a hundred pounds on the gift voucher. It was a day off work wasted and I will be discouraging anyone from wasting their money on this rubbish gift idea.

Perfect. If ever i went again i would take the Lotus Experience again. I was overtaking the more powerful Ferraris etc that were overpowered for the tight Three Sisters track

Got this driving experience from the mrs for christmas and had a boss time! Lotus elise is a class sports car and on the racetrack you could really give it some and race around like you were the stig on top gear!

Since I went on this Lotus Elise driving experience I have fallen in love with this sports car and really badly want one of my own! It drives so well and is a beautiful machine! My moment behind the wheel was just too good!
