Racing Car Driving Experience at Thruxton

Upon arrival you will be welcomed in to the driving centre, where you will receive a 25 minute briefing which will be shared with up to 18 drivers in total. You’ll then be introduced to your instructor and you will receive two instructor-driven demonstration laps (approx 4.7 miles) in the Porsche.

Next comes the moment you’ve been waiting for – your turn to take control and tear up the tarmac! You’ll drive three laps (approx 7 miles) in the beautiful Porsche Cayman 2.9, before meeting a new instructor and driving five exhilarating laps (approx 11.7 miles) in a Formula Renault single seat racing car. The excitement doesn’t end there though – you’ll also be treated to a high-speed instructor-driven passenger lap in a Mazda3 MPS!

Your experience will end with a presentation of your Driver Analysis Card and commemorative certificate. Photos and in car DVD available to purchase on day, as well as additional laps in cars (subject to availability).

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is available on selected weekdays only. All participants must have a full valid UK driving licence which must be presented on the day (photocopies will not be accepted). Minimum age is 17 years. Minimum height is 5’, maximum height 6’. Drivers between approx 6’ and 6’ 4” inches may participate, but they will drive the Sports 2000 racing car. Maximum weight is 18st. There are no medical restrictions but participants must be able to drive the car without any modifications needed to enable them to drive – please contact the operator if you are in doubt. You’ll be spending a lot of time outside so wear appropriate clothing but when driving you must wear long trousers, long sleeved top and thin soled narrow shoes. Please allow approximately 2 ¼ hours at the venue. All dates are subject to availability.
