Get to grips with the gravel with this fantastic rally driving taster experience. A fun and challenging driving day, you’ll take the wheel of a speedy Subaru Impreza for two thrilling sessions – during which you’ll learn amazing rally skills such as handbrake turns and powerslides. Exciting, exhilarating and extreme, your experience will end with a high-octane passenger ride with your instructor.
Upon arrival you will be met by your fully qualified instructor, who will give you a full safety briefing before introducing you to your stunning Subaru Impreza WRX. You’ll learn a wide range of rally skills in this fantastic four-wheel drive, including handbrake turns, how to cause and control powerslides and much more! Your experience will also include a white-knuckle passenger ride with your instructor. You should expect to spend approximately 1 ½ hours at the venue.

This experience is available at 3 Locations:

  • Buckinghamshire (South East) - Aylesbury
  • Herefordshire (Midlands) - Worcester
  • Shropshire (Midlands) - Whitchurch
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. Spectators are welcome at no extra charge. This experience is weather dependent. There is an on site snack bar. You are advised to wear comfortable clothing and soft soled shoes. Maximum height is 6' 4'', minimum height is 5'. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Please note that you should make the staff aware of any medical or fitness problems prior to the event. You will be required to provide a full, valid driving licence on the day. All dates are subject to availability.

What a great value and awesome day out. My fab boyfriend purchased it at Christmas for me as a surprise and surprised I certainly was. I have always said I could handle a rally car and would like the chance to have a go one day, so I got one for xmas, courtesy of BuyaGift! I found the booking procedure very well explained from the documentation received in the giftpack which was wrapped up and given as a gift. We travelled up for the experience last week, and arrived within the alloted time for my 'Subaru Rally Taster'. We were welcomed by friendly staff and the safety briefing started promptly. The chap in charge was very pleasant, interesting and funny but made sure the safety of all those in attendance was the main priority as well as making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Despite me being the only girl in the group of drivers I was made to feel very welcome and felt very much involved throughout. I was first up to drive and took the wheel of the Subaru with the nerves making my stomach flutter with excitement. Each of us had two drives each comprising of three laps of a custom designed circuit. The first drive went well, the instructor being very proffessional and pointed out positives and areas for improvement, and I then went on to start the second drive and that was when I broke the Subaru! The video shows the event as it unfolded. I did a fairly acceptable handbrake turn at about 20 seconds and not long after that smoke can be seen coming out from under the bonnet in the distance. The instructors were calm and made light of the breakdown and immediately transferred me to another car and gave everyone an extra lap in the replacement car, in addition to the passenger ride which we also had. The other drivers thanked me for breaking the Subaru. Everyone was happy but not as happy as I was. What a fantastic awesome day! Thanks Buyagift and thanks of course to my boyfriend. He got some great shots and of course the embarassing moment in the Subaru.

My girlfriend bought this experience for me for a birthday and we went to the Buckinghamshire location in July 2011. The track was quite small and you had to drive the car through tyres placed on the track. Firstly you get to drive two laps and on your second turn you drive three laps, this is then followed by a passenger lap. The instructors were quite restricting and kept telling people to slow down when they were driving and the passenger lap wasn't very exciting either. Feedback from other people on the day was that they were also abit disappointed- definitely wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a rally experience where you can really have fun doing handbrake turns etc....

This is just not worth the money! £80 OMG its not worth £40. Learn powerslides? No you won't, what you will get for your 80 notes is 5 laps round an old airfield covered in gravel. Totally felt disappointed by this gift. Try something else!
