If you have every dreamed of reliving the flight of yesteryear, then now is you time to convert those dreams into a thrilling reality! You’ll take to the skies in a restored Tiger Moth, the very bi-planes used by the RAF to train their pilots during the Second World War. We can’t promise that you will go on to fly a Spitfire over the channel, but we can guarantee a fantastic aerial experience like no other. You’ll be briefed by your pilot on arrival and get kitted up in your authentic leather jacket and goggles for use during your flight. You’ll get strapped in with your pilot, who will effortlessly take off and lift gently into the air. Once your pilot has demonstrated the workings of this fascinating aircraft, it will be over to you to take control and fly the Tiger Moth for the first time! Soar through the sky feeling the wind on your face, and admire the beautiful scenery below! Your pilot will take control to land to bring to an end and unforgettable experience.

Flying a Tiger Moth vintage aircraft.

Classic Flights at Duxford were very professional, and everything was very well organised. The flight was excellent and very good fun. This venue at the Imperial War Museum Duxford also gave me free access to the museum so had good day looking around that as well. Strongly recommend Classic Flights.

I was aiming to re-live my father's experience as a wartime flying instructor who flew mainly Tiger Moths for this purpose. Also I have early memories of him flying over our house and waving to me standing in the garden. I just loved the flight, which I have done once before ten years ago from Sywell. The pilot, Nigel, was great: allowing to have some 'hands on' experience and he seemed to throw in some extras in terms of 'non-straight line' flying which was exhilarating even if a little scary!
What would you improve for next time? It was such a good experience so I'd find it difficult to know how to improve it.

Ive done one other flying experience before which I enjoyed, but in this classic aircraft it really was something else. It seemed to me I got longer than advised, which was great, and plenty of that was flying the aircraft myself - more than I expected. I would thoroughly recommend this experience for anyone, particularly with an interest in historic aircraft - in fact I already have! My next flying experience will have a lot to live up to!
On the way up!
What would you improve for next time? Even longer in the aircraft, and permission to video the flight myself with a secure camera, which isnt currently allowed - or a reduction in price of video the company take.

I was given a Tiger Moth flight experience for my 70th birthday from my family. We went to the Shoreham Airfield. The staff very friendly and helpful and my pilot made me feel safe. The flight was amazing and I got to take over the controls twice during my flight. It went really quickly but when you have fun time does fly. I really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone with an interest in old planes.

After a brief briefing, put on your flying jacket, leather helmet and goggles and its chocks away!! The Tiger Moth is a real 'seat of the pants' flying experience, With an open cockpit and basic controls you really feel the spirit of those earlier men in their flying machines. Overall, including the tour of Duxford, a great day out

Amazing experience

The flight was bought as a gift for my birthday and proved to be an amazing experience. My flight was in G-AMNN a Tiger Moth dating from 1940 at Shoreham with Perry Air. All their staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The flight itself was a wonderful experience giving an insight into the early days of flying. If you have any interest at all in flying I strongly recommend the experience.
Chocks away! Up and away!
What would you improve for next time? Nothing - I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

The whole experience was excellent. From the ground crew to the pilot. Being able to take the controls myself was an added bonus. I can not fault the experience. I recommend this gift.

20 Minute Tiger Moth Flight (Upgraded)

3 out of 5 27 June 2014
Location: Age: 25-34 Bought For Wife Occasion: Birthday
My fight was with Perryair, based at Shoreham, Sun. 22/6/14 at 3pm. When I booked my flight a month before, they said that I wasn't allowed to take my camera on the flight because I might drop it! Also informed that my flight would be videoed via an onboard camera fixed to the wing strut above me, so I could buy a £20 DVD afterwards! On the day, before my flight I was informed that the 20 minute flight would be only 10 minutes in the air, so for £74 I upgraded to 30 minutes (20 mins airborne). I was given a flying jacket, helmet which had headphones in & shown the controls, etc. The headphones were not 2-way, so I couldn't speak to my pilot, only hear him! I had to use left arm, thumb up for "Yes/OK" or thumb down for "No". As I've flown before in other aircraft, & had flying lessons in the passed I thought this was a safety issue, especially if my pilot became ill or passed out! I wouldn't be able to communicate with ATC for help! I eventually began to enjoy my flight after mastering the controls, keeping the plane fairly straight & level, turning, etc! The air makes your mouth very dry without the proper head gear on! I didn't like that! My pilot did some tight right 360* turns, then a barrel roll, which made me feel ill! Ian Perry, my pilot let me take the controls again for a while, returning to the airport. Landing was wonderful! My girlfriend asked about the DVD when I got back, & was told, with no apology, that the onboard camera doesn't work because there is a software problem! So I had no video or photo's of me in the air, flying the Tiger Moth G-AMNN! We were not happy!! Why weren't we informed about this before? I would have rearrange my flight to after the camera software was fixed!
What would you improve for next time? Either Perryair improve their customer service, and delivery what they say, on the phone, & on their website, or change to a different airport on the south coast, say Lee On The Solent where other Tiger Moths are based, which is also nearer to where we live!
