Normally reserved for the rich and famous, this is your chance to get a taste of the high life in this 30 minute experience. You are free to either sit back and enjoy the ride, or if you would rather, you can use your 30 minutes as a trial lesson. Trial lessons are the ideal way to start that journey towards your helicopter licence, you can even take the controls during your first flight!
After arrival at the helicentre your lesson commences with a pre-flight briefing. You will then discuss and plan a flight path of your choice with your own personal instructor, and then it’s time for take off!! Your instructor will demonstrate forward flight, the art of hovering and the unique manoeuvrability of a helicopter before you will be given a chance to do some hands on flying of your own. At some locations you will be are presented with a commemorative certificate.

This experience is available at 5 Locations:

  • Buckinghamshire (South East) - Nr Marlow
  • Cambridgeshire (South East) - Peterborough
  • Gloucestershire (South West) - Cheltenham
  • Lancashire (North) - Blackpool
  • Leicestershire (Midlands) - Leicester
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Your weight must not exceed 17 stone and your height must not exceed 6ft 4inches. Larger helicopters are available at extra cost payable directly on when booking. Tuition is usually in a Robinson R22 Beta. Actual flying time is around 25 mins. All training helicopters have dual controls so the instructor can safely demonstrate and monitor the handling of the aircraft. All flight time counts towards a helicopter licence should you decide to continue training. Please book well in advance to ensure a mutually convenient time.

Absolutely brilliant! It has been a long ambition of mine to fly a helicopter and the experience really did not disappoint. The instructor was fantastic in fact the whole day far exceeded my expectations. I will definitely do this again and if I won the lottery I would have lessons.

I LOVED the helicopter flight experience my mate bought for my birthdya. Seeing everything from so high up was mindblowing and when the pilot asked me if I wanted to take the helicopter controls I didn't even think twice.

I would like to say that my recent helicopter experience taken at Coventry Airport was absolutely brilliant. I was greeted by very pleasant staff and the pilot was wonderful...it was a day I will never forget!
