Take to the skies under expert CAA qualified supervision. You will be piloting a light aircraft during your 30 minute lesson, where you will not only gain some flying experience but also learn about flight principles and how the planes are maintained and engineered. If Air Traffic Control allows it you will be able to fly yourself over your own house too! This is an excellent experience which is sure to spark a lifelong passion for flying in you!
Upon arrival at the flight centre you will be greeted by friendly staff. After a short briefing on the aircraft, procedure, controls and safety, you will be taken up into the clouds! Once the checks have been carried out and you have run through the control with your instructor, you will be able to take control. Fly through the clouds and marvel at the landscapes below as you feel the thrill of controlling a flying machine. If you do not feel confident enough to fly, sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the Essex countryside. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch the flight.

This experience is available at Essex:

  • Essex (South East) - Romford
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. You are free to call the flying centre to book your lesson. When you book it is essential to inform the centre if you are over 6'2” or over 15 stone as an extra charge might be required if a bigger plane is required. The minimum age for this experience is 12 years old. If the participant is under 18 a parent or guardian needs to join them on site on the day. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air centre on the day - this is free of charge and ensures you are covered by the center's insurance. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day: clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check it is safe to fly.

I bought this gift for my Dad for his Christmas present last year. He went on the experience a few months ago and absolutely loved it. He was so nervous at first but now he is tempted to book up another lesson. He loved it!! It was also a great day out for the family. We had a nice lunch in their garden whilst there too. A must buy if your looking to take someone out of their comfort zone!!! 10 out of 10.
