This flying school is the largest in Northern Ireland and has an excellent reputation of being a safe and an enjoyable place to learn to fly. The instructors are all safety minded and flying enthusiasts who are trained to the CAA highest standards; this ensures you have an excellent experience and a trouble free, safe day. With this lesson you are sure to have a fantastic and worthwhile experience.
On arrival to the flying club at the appointed time, you will be introduced to your instructor. Then you will be given a headset so that you can listen to Air Traffic Control and talk to people in the aircraft. Following this, it's time to board the plane! You will be given a safety briefing and shown all relevant controls. Once airborne, control will be passed over to you, and you will fly over Newtownards and Portaferry. Your lesson will last for half an hour and you will be flying a Cessna 172SP. The club is open 7 days a week. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch you fly and take some pictures.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months, for one person. When you book with the supplier you must inform the centre if you are over 6'4” or 16 stone as an extra charge maybe necessary if a bigger plane is required. The minimum age is 14 years old: for under 18s a parent/guardian needs to join them on the day. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air centre on the day, it is free of charge and it ensures you are covered by the center's insurance. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check if it is safe to fly. This introductory flight is for 30 minutes.

I went to watch my big sister on her Introductory Flying Lesson and she seemed to have such a grand time in that aeroplane that I was jealous and want to try learn to fly myself now!
