Your recipient will take to the skies with an experienced pilot for this flight of a lifetime. This is the perfect opportunity to feel the exhilarating freedom offered by these superbly maneuverable machines. With the design of a hang-glider or small aeroplane, these amazing machines might look scary but they have become a stable, safe and recognised form of travel. An amazing chance to soar like a bird for a full 60 minute flight! Your instructor might even let you take the controls if they feel you are up to it!
Upon arrival at the aerodrome your recipient will be given a briefing on the principles of microlight flying. From there they are taken to the microlight for a general familiarisation of the layout and a rundown of the controls. After this it's up, up and away for a 60 minute flight of a lifetime! If the instructor feels confident that his new student is ready, they will even be able to take the controls and get the thrill of piloting the aircraft. Facilities and microlights will vary between locations and the images used here are a guide only.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Minimum age varies with location but is not less than 14 years. No previous experience necessary. Microlights and itineraries may vary slightly between locations and images used on this page are only a guide. Flight time will be approximately 60 minutes depending on weather conditions. Maximum weight 14 stone (16 stone at South Lanarkshire location, 17.3 stone at Cambridgeshire location). No maximum height. Please note at some locations you must call on the morning of your booked flight to confirm that the weather conditions are suitable for flight.

The feeling of soaring through the skies open to the elements on a microlight is indescribable! What a buzz man! I even got to do some steering for part of it when the wind died down so it was like my own private flying lesson!

For my 60th birthday my family bought me a track day voucher. I had wanted to drive an Aston Martin but after thinking about it and finding that the nearest track was too far away I decided to change the experience for a Micro light flight. It was everything I'd hoped for! David the instructor/pilot was brilliant friendly informative and good fun but of course very professional. He kitted me out gave the briefing and during the flight kept up a clear commentary from the front of the aircraft and allowed me to take control for a good period. I was able to take still photographs from the air while my wife captured the take off and landing on film. A thoroughly pleasing experience the memory will last a lifetime.

Bought this microlight flying experience for my brother because he's well into aeroplanes and whatnot. He had a great time and even got to take over in the cockpit for a bit which he was really chuffed about! Thanks for the gift idea!
