Tail chase through the skies in an adrenalin-fuelled blast where you get to go head to head with your opponent. Powered by a 300bhp Lycoming engine, the Extra 300 is an ultra light weight, state of the art, high technology display aircraft. During your thrilling flight you’ll be able to take the controls and experience the manoeuvring capabilities of the 300, fly basic aerobatics and learn how to tail chase, if that wasn’t enough you 'll also be playing ‘shoot the bandit’ whilst airborne!
Your experience starts with you getting kitted out in proper ‘Top Gun’ attire. A pre flight briefing will then take place and two teams will be assembled before you take part in a practice session of flying, aerobatics and tail chase manoeuvres. You’ll have the opportunity to take the controls of the Extra 300 to fly basic aerobatics and tail chase with another aeroplane using special gun and smoke effects. There will be a formation loop before going back to base for debriefing. The flight lasts approximately 40 minutes. You should expect to be at the venue for around 3-4 hours.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This experience is for TWO people. The minimum height is 5’, max height 6’4”, the maximum weight is 15 st 7lbs. Minimum age is 12, provided you fulfill the medical, height and weight criteria. All participants will be required to complete a medical form before flying and participants over the age of 61 must provide a letter from your doctor confirming your suitability to fly. This experience is weather-dependant; please call the flying centre before setting off on the day of your experience to check that your flight is still going ahead. Please note that this experience takes place on Saturdays only.

Me and my partner have always been adrenaline junkies and always do some new thrill seeking activity on our anniversary every year! (We met skydiving in NZ!) The Top Gun flight was one of the best we ever did - being stunt pilots for the day and rocketing through the sky chasing each other - what an anniversary!
