Do I need to select a specific date when making my purchase?   
No - when purchasing a gift on our website there is no option to select a specific date.

As most customers don't know when their recipient is likely to be available to take the experience, all Buyagift activity vouchers are open dated so your recipient is free to choose their preferred date (subject to availability).  The vast majority of Buyagift vouchers are valid for 10 months, giving the participant plenty of time to arrange their experience of a lifetime.

Once activated, vouchers can be exchanged free of charge at any point within their validity period. The recipient just needs to visit www.buyagift.com/activate to do this.
