Enjoy a tour around one of these amazing vineyards - a fantastic opportunity to experience how a working vineyard and winery operate. Find out how wine is made by the professionals and then try the finished product. The tour will encompass all areas of the vineyard, from the earliest plantings to the latest, as well as many other interesting topics. After you have had a good chance to explore, indulge in some wine tasting followed by a delicious lunch. You will also receive a bottle of wine as a perfect memento of your day.
Your experience begins with tea or coffee and a brief introduction before heading off for the tour. During the tour you will be shown a selection of vines and take part in a lively discussion on training, growing and harvesting vines. Then on to the winery where the wine making process - from the arrival of the grape to the bottling of the finished product - is revealed. Wine tasting is next on the agenda before finally settling down to a delicious lunch with a glass of wine and collecting your complimentary bottle of wine to take home with you.

  • East Sussex (South East) - Hastings
  • Shropshire (Midlands) - Shrewsbury
  • Suffolk (South East) - Woodbridge
  • West Yorkshire (North) - Holmfirth
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. This package is for two. Please note that this tour is available on selected dates only and the agenda may vary between locations. You are required to book in advance to avoid any disappointment. The minimum age for this experience is 18 years. The time of tours will vary between each location; the day will include an hour for lunch, which is included in the price of your experience. The complimentary wine is one bottle per couple. Please note that at the Cambridge location the tour is of the estate and winery. At the Devon location you will also be offered a Devon Cream Tea. Maximum 30 people per tour in Devon, and 40 in Cambridgeshire.

The guide at Wroxeter Roman Vineyard gave a highly entertaining and yet informative presentation with some wonderful insights into understanding and enjoying wine. It was well worth including lunch with the vineyard tour as this made for a very social and relaxed occasion.

If you enjoy wine and want to know what goes into the production of it then this is a must do tour. Ken provided an absolutely fascinating talk on wine production, from establishing the actual vineyard through to the process or wine production. The wine tasting was excellent, Ken providing several of his wines to try - all very enjoyable! The ploughman’s lunch that followed the tour was first rate - did not have enough room for the cream teas unfortunately! Would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone with an interest of wine.

My husband and I had a really lovely day out, better than we had imagined. The tour was interesting and the wine tasting was fun and lunch and a bottle of wine included made a perfect escape from normal family life for the day!

Don't believe the rotten review. We went to the same vineyard and had a fabulous day. The tour was led by the most knowledgeable person and lasted 2 1/2 hours. The lunch was plentiful and we tasted five different wines. A brilliant day. The best vineyard tour we have ever been on and we have been on many. The wine is very good as well.
